Losing people we love

We all have people that we’ve lost but I challenge you with this concept. You really didn’t lose them as long as you remember and think about them. remembering the people that you’ve loved and lost in the good times and the times that make you smile. The times that make you happy. Then you haven’t lost them.  it’s true you won’t make any new memories but you will always be able to cherish the old memories.  When you see an old friend that you haven’t seen for a while what’s the first thing you do? You remember the time with them of something exciting that you guys did together or maybe something that was just sweet.  When I walk into the house and I see the chair where she  sat and watched TV in.  It brings me back to when we were sitting together discussing my life or  how the Miami Dolphins did last Sunday. Thinking about those times reminds me not of the loss, but the love we had. I do things in remembrance of the people that I’ve loved and lost. I would like to encourage you to do the same.  If it was a walk in the park do that and spend the time with memories of your walks together. For me it’s going to the movies. My Mom loved the movies, and would go several times per week if she had the time. She would get a large popcorn and a Diet Coke and be in heaven watching that movie. So that’s what I do and I always think about her I also introduced the movies to my daughters and  my grandsons . They don’t understand why it’s important to me but they’ll always remember that we did it.  Hopefully they will have the same fond memories of me in the same way that I do with my mom
